On February 5th, the editorial staff of The New York Daily News announced they had unionized with the NewsGuild of New York, CWA Local 31003, with over 80% support from the newsroom. Since the announcement, management has refused to voluntarily recognize the Guild, and has begun an anti-union campaign.
