Members of Graduate Workers of Columbia-UAW (GWC-UAW) rallied at the Low Memorial Library to call for Columbia University to recognize the UAW as the union for the school’s research assistants (RAs) and teaching assistants (TAs).  The workers were joined by supporters from labor, community, and government, many of whom signed on to a letter urging the university to do right by its workers.
