What is Ebola, and what do workers need to know to understand their risk of exposure on the job? What is New York City's plan in response to Ebola? What is OSHA's response, and how does the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard apply to Ebola?

While the World Health Organization states that Ebola is not an airborne disease, what is the difference between "airborne" and "aerosolized-transmissible"? What does this distinction mean for health care workers and others who come into contact with Ebola patients? As more cases arise, what PPE, including respiratory protection, is needed to best protect workers from exposure to Ebola in both hospital and non-hospital settings?

What role are unions playing in educating their members and urging employers and governmental agencies to take all necessary steps to protect the workforce?
