The Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) represents approximately 9,000 active NYC/FDNY Firefighters and as many as 25,000 members overall, including retired NYC Firefighters.  The objectives of the UFA are to protect the rights of FDNY Firefighters, obtain better and safer working conditions, secure adequate remuneration, obtain the equitable resolution of grievances, and cultivate fellowship among its members.
