New York Metro Area Postal Union Dedicates Josie McMillian Training and Conference Center

On Friday, December 6, the New York Metro Area Postal Union, the largest local in the American Postal Workers Union, dedicated the opening of the Josie McMillian Training and Conference Center located on the first floor of the New York Metro Area Postal Union building at 350 West 31st Street in New York City. Attending the dedication were leaders from the National APWU in Washington, DC, retired members of NYMAPU, and invited guests. The Center is in memory of Josie McMillian who was the first woman president of NYMAPU. The Center will serve the members of NYMAPU and also be available to other trade unions.
