On Wednesday, May 30, the Climate Jobs New York Education Fund joined The New York League of Conservation Voters, Citizens Campaign for the Environment, and Community Offshore Wind to host a “What’s Brewin’ Offshore” event in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Bringing together community members, industry leaders, and union members, the event aimed to educate and update on all things offshore wind. Presentations were given by NYLCV, CCE, CJNY Ed Fund, and COW with a focus on how this renewable sector can help fight climate change, create better resiliency in the energy grid, and foster a new generation of good careers for local community members.
