2024 Debra E. Bernhardt Labor Journalism Prize Call for Entries
The Bernhardt Labor Journalism Prize is an award of $1000 given to an article that furthers the understanding of the history of working people. Articles focused on historical events AND articles about current issues (work, housing, organizing, health, education) that include historical context are both welcome. The work should be published in print or online between August 31, 2023 and August 31, 2024. The contest deadline is September 6, 2024. To enter, visit LaborArts.org/Bernhardt. The winner will be announced at a Forum on Labor Journalism at NYU on Thursday October 17, 2024 @6pm. The award is sponsored by the New York Labor History Association and NYU’s Tamiment Library & Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives, with LaborArts, Metro New York Labor Communications Council, and the NYC Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO.
