BDS Workers Demand Management Stop Stalling on a Fair First Contract

Hundreds of workers at Brooklyn Defender Services rallied during a lunch time picket on Wednesday, calling on BDS management to stop stalling on contract negotiations with the union and come to the table with serious proposals. BDS workers, represented by the Association of Legal Aid Attorneys/UAW 2325, won a landslide NLRB election of 207-83 in 2021, and have been bargaining for a first contract ever since. BDS Management has refused to come to any meaningful agreements on core issues like salary, improved healthcare, paid time off, and flexibility.
