Climate Jobs NY Update: The Future is Union Photography Contest
Are you a union member working in a climate job? Climate Jobs National Resource Center's nationwide photography contest, The Future Is Union: Climate Urgency Through the Eyes of Workers is still open.
Any union member who sees their work as a "climate job" is eligible to enter the contest, which closes on July 31. We’re hoping to receive submissions that showcase an expansive world of climate work: driving electric buses, working on wind turbines, teaching children about the climate crisis, cleaning up after climate-related disasters, constructing green buildings, installing solar, operating water systems, and more.
Cash prizes of up to $500 will be granted to winning photographs. We are also planning exhibitions of the winning photographs at union halls and training centers in New York City. The contest website has all of the information to submit photos: climatejobsphotocontest.org.
