Chhaya CDC Workers Announce Intent to Organize with TWU

Workers at Chhaya CDC, a Community Development Corporation that builds the power, housing stability and economic well-being of South Asian and Indo-Caribbean communities in NYC, this week announced that they intend to unionize with the Transport Workers Union. In a statement shared on Twitter, the new Chhaya Union said "Chhaya staff is happy that our unionizing efforts are being viewed in a positive light. We hope that management and board will voluntarily recognize the union as staff has presented it in order to ensure that as many staff members are included in the collective bargaining unit.
