But too much of this money is wasted on corporations that create no jobs, add poverty wage jobs, or even cut jobs. The system is broken and too many New Yorkers are getting left behind.  We can change that; we can make New York work for hardworking New Yorkers!

Yesterday, in an overwhelming show of approval for their new agreement, the rank-and-file members of TWU Local 100 have ratified their new contract.  82% of the Local 100 membership voted in favor of ratification, the largest "yes" vote for a contract in the history of TWU local 100.

In a major victory for employees at Verizon Wireless, 63 workers at six Verizon Wireless stores across Brooklyn voted to join CWA yesterday. These workers endured an aggressive anti-union campaign mounted by Verizon Wireless management in order to ensure a voice on the job.
