Gawker Digital Media Writers Ratify Contract

This week, the Writers Guild of America, East announced a newly ratified contract for Gawker digital media writers. The three-year contract sets minimum pay levels for members, and guarantees 3% raises each year. Workers will also have an annual opportunity to meet with a supervisor to discuss merit based raises. After a year of writing for Gawker, full-time freelancers will also have an opportunity to interview to become Gawker staff.
