SATURDAY SUPERMARKET BOYCOTT TO RESUME IN KENSINGTON

Last year, workers and community activists staged a seven-month-long boycott of the store, and a federal lawsuit, which resulted in Kim agreeing to pay 12 workers roughly $95,000 in withheld overtime pay.  This latest call for a boycott comes as a result of stalled negotiations between Kim and newly unionized workers, who are members of RWDSU.

This Saturday, workers at Brooklyn’s Golden Farm supermarket will again be calling for a boycott of the Church Avenue store.  Citing store owner Sunny Kim’s refusal pay workers family-sustaining wages, paid sick leave, and personal time, workers and activists are asking local residents not to patronize the store.
