HELP PROTECT POSTAL WORKERS
The American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO (APWU) is asking for support on three pieces of legislation that are key to standing against the threats to the Postal Service. The Postal Service Protection Act (S-316/H.R. 630) would protect post offices by giving the Postal Regulatory Commission the authority to prevent post office closures, and allow the USPS to develop new products and services to help generate new sources of revenue.
The United States Postal Service Stabilization Act (H.R. 961) would help to regulate retirement and pension funding.
The Protect Overnight Delivery Act (H.R. 2459) would restore overnight service standards, and protect mail processing plants from closure.
