#NYC1u: 1199SEIU and Digital Organizing

Over the past year few years, the digital team at 1199 SEIU has been a model of how to use digital media to bolster campaigns. Join them as they go through some of their more successful strategies to digital organizing.
1199SEIU will dive into how to mobilize memberships and communities for various campaigns ranging from the Fight for $15 to Climate Change actions. For organic engagement to nominal user-targeted advertising, the 1199 digital team will go through some recent case studies of their work as well as some of the top progressive digital campaigns nationally from other organizations.
Eunic Ortiz will lead this session
Eunic Ortiz, Director of Online Communications
With nearly a decade working in communications and public affairs, Eunic Ortiz has committed her career to creating positive change for communities in need and fighting for full equality for all. From working in newsrooms to government and now at one of the largest labor unions, Eunic looks forward to continuing her passion for politics and community organizing through communications.
Currently, Eunic is the Director of Online Communications for 1199SEIU. In this role, she manages all of the digital communications for the largest healthcare union in the country - spanning numerous states and nearly 400,000 members in the healthcare service industry.
