Registrations are open for the next cohort of the Climate Jobs Institute's eCornell certificate, Climate Jobs: Building an Equitable, Resilient Clean Energy Economy. Through this course you will analyze the political and economic dynamics that shape climate policy, including the roles of unions, government, and advocates. At the heart of the certificate lies an approach to climate action that emphasizes the opportunity to create and expand access to high-quality jobs in the transition to a clean energy economy.

The next cohort for the certificate starts on February 5, runs for eight weeks, and includes the following four courses:

  • Climate Change, Inequality and Just Transition
  • The Politics and Economics of Climate Change
  • Foundations of the Climate Jobs Approach
  • Planning for a Successful Climate Jobs Campaign

The certificate is asynchronous, allowing you to work at your own pace and schedule. There will also be an optional live session over Zoom, where you can meet with union leaders, policymakers, climate and environmental advocates, workforce development professionals, and others in the field to discuss key issues.
