Daria Gleba

Daria Gleba is the current Controller of the New York City Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO. Daria came to the United States from Poland at the age of 10 and now holds more than 20 years of accounting experience. She is proud to say she has been involved with the labor movement for the past 13 years, seven of which she has spent with the Central Labor Council.

Daria’s main responsibilities at the CLC are related to all financial tasks, starting with the preparation of the Annual Budget. Additionally, she is involved with the preparation of internal financial reports and analyses that fall under the accordance of GAAP; maintaining QuickBooks General Ledgers and monthly closings; performing monthly reconciliation of bank and investment accounts and statements; monitoring bank transfers activity; processing and reconciliation of employee payroll, along with fringe benefits contributions; supervising Bookkeeping functions for AR and AP; preparing all supporting information for the Annual Audits with S&P, NYSIF and others; overseeing insurance policy renewals; and participating in management review of financial reports.
