Flight attendants and allies picketed at nearly 20 airports worldwide this week to demand that United Airlines management remove concessions and deliver the industry-leading contract they have earned. The NYC Central Labor Council was proud to join Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA-CWA) members at LaGuardia Airport, standing in solidarity for fair wages, improved working conditions, and recognition of their vital role as aviation's first responders.

United Airlines reported record profits of $3.1 billion in 2024; however, flight attendants' pay continues to lag behind competitors. The AFA-CWA is calling for significant double-digit base pay increases, compensation for boarding time, retroactive pay, schedule flexibility, job security, and retirement improvements.
