In honor of Labor Day, DCWP Commissioner Vilda Vera Mayuga announced settlement agreements with four companies to provide more than 2,430 workers with more than $3 million in restitution to resolve violations of the City’s Fair Workweek Law: Getir, AllSaints, Uniqlo, and Chipotle. DCWP’s investigation found that the retail employers violated workers’ rights to stable and predictable schedules and the fast food employer wrongfully terminated employees without just cause.

Since May Day of this year, DCWP has held more than 170 worker-focused education events, serving more than 18,000 New Yorkers. We encourage workers to review DCWP’s updated Workers’ Bill of Rights and to report any employer violations by filing a complaint at nyc.gov/workers.
