Nation's First "Deliverista Hub" Opens at City Hall

On Tuesday, Workers’ Justice Project – Los Deliveristas Unidos celebrated a historic milestone for delivery worker organizing in New York City: the launch of the City Hall Park Deliverista Hub — the first worker-designed hub of its kind in the nation. Developed through organizing by app delivery workers and in partnership with city and federal leaders, the hub provides critical infrastructure for New York City’s 80,000 app delivery workers, including safe e-bike battery charging, rest space, bike repair, and access to worker support services.
The launch featured remarks from elected leaders including Senator Chuck Schumer and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, city partner agencies, and organizers with Los Deliveristas Unidos, and marks an important step toward improving safety, supporting worker-led innovation, and advancing sustainable last-mile delivery across the city.
