Kickstarter United Workers On Strike!

Kickstarter United(OPEIU Local 153) is the union of designers, support specialists, product managers, engineers, and more who power Kickstarter. Members fought to form their union to strengthen Kickstarter’s mission and values and, today, they’re fighting for a fair contract that is in line with those same values.

Workers are asking Kickstarter’s executives and board members to match their actions to their words by codifying the 32-hour, 4-day work week that has been their reality for over three years, and raising compensation for the lowest-paid employees, who are often front-line support to Kickstarter's valuable community of backers and creators.

As of 8am Thursday, October 2nd, Kickstarter United stepped out on strike on the strength of their belief in these new standards of work.
