Invitation for NYC's Union Workers: Salmagundi Club's "Working" Exhibition (Deadline Aug 17)

Salmagundi Club is one of America's oldest artists' clubs, located at 47 Fifth Avenue in Greenwich Village since 1871. This fall the club will mount an exhibition called "Working," celebrating the art of labor. For this exhibition, we are seeking artworks of all mediums which directly depict, draw from, and/or relate to the world of working. The endurance of daily routines, the strain of skilled labor, and the ever-evolving conditions of contemporary work — no matter how one relates to this subject — together, these pieces form the lived experience so familiar to human life: the experience of working. You can enter painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking and more. Open to members as well as non-member artists who are members of invited NYC- area unions.
Selected artists and their guests will be celebrated at a reception at the Club this fall. For more information and to submit work click here: https://showsubmit.com/show/scny-working. For help submitting, artists can consult ShowSubmit's entry guide or contact support@showsubmit.com.
