DCWP Celebrates May Day With Worker Day of Action and TikTok Live

In celebration of International Workers’ Day 2026, Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) Commissioner Samuel A.A. Levine hosted a day of action and a TikTok Live with Amazon Teamsters. At 10 locations throughout all five boroughs, DCWP staff distributed the Workers’ Bill of Rights to more than 5,500 New Yorkers.
During the Agency’s first-ever TikTok Live, Commissioner Levine sat with Matt Multari, a Teamster and driver at Amazon’s DBK1 facility in Queens. They discussed rights available to New Yorkers under the Protected Time Off Law and Multari shared his experience organizing drivers employed through Amazon’s Delivery Service Partners (DSP) program.
DCWP is proud to support workers on May Day and every day. Learn more about your worker rights at nyc.gov/workers.
