Community Boards represent the most grassroots level of New York City government. These 59 boards serve an advisory role, providing recommendations to the City Council and the Office of the Borough President on critical matters such as land use, housing, transportation, economic development, education, and the environment.

Through our Community Board Initiative, the NYC CLC is committed to building a stronger pro-worker city and supporting communities for working people. If you are interested in learning more about Community Boards and how you can make an impact in your neighborhood, please contact Xiomara Loarte at xloarte@nycclc.org.

Applications for appointments will close in the coming weeks. You can find more information on how to apply here.
