Statement of NYC Central Labor Council President Alvarez on Inauguration of Mayor de Blasio

New York, NY- New York City Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, President Vincent Alvarez today released the following statement regarding the inauguration of Mayor Bill de Blasio, and the respective swear-in ceremonies of Public Advocate Letitia James and Comptroller Scott Stringer:

"Today, working people in NYC can have hope in new and progressive leaders, who took oaths of office to lead our city in a new direction."

"While our city experienced a level of growth over the last 12 years, a number of important issues remained unresolved, and too many working men and women were left behind."
