Help Grow our Movement - Host a Union Semester Student this Fall!

For almost 20 years, the Union Semester program has supported dozens of activists in the labor movement, connecting passionate students with organizations who can benefit from their contributions. Students intern at a labor organization 4 days a week for 15 weeks and also attend 4 evening classes, earning college credits and a certificate in Labor Studies. Organizations benefit from the energy, experience and diverse skill sets of our students into their active campaigns. In past semesters, mentors have complimented on students’ intellectual curiosity, willingness to learn, and devotion to the field.

Students in our fall semester will soon arrive from around the country and the world. They hold with them diverse language, research and communications skills as well as experience in community and labor organizing, political action and database management, to name a few.

If mentoring a student through NY Union Semester this upcoming fall or spring sounds like a good fit for you and your organization, please contact Union Semester Program Coordinator, Diana Robinson at diana.robinson@cuny.edu or at 212-642-2075. The deadline to request an intern for the fall semester is July 31st!
