JetBlue Flight Attendants Vote to Join TWU International

On Tuesday, more than 5,000 flight attendants employed by JetBlue voted 2,661 to 1,387 to join the Transport Workers Union. The results were released by the National Mediation Board, which oversaw the electronic balloting.

The victory came after a multi-pronged organizing campaign by rank-and-file flight attendants and professional TWU organizers. Nationally, the Transport Workers Union represents more than 140,000 workers in the airline, railroad, mass transit, utilities and service industries.

“This historic victory is yet another example of the tide turning in America as workers continue to lock arms and fight back to defend their livelihoods,” said TWU International President John Samuelsen. Click here for more on the vote.
