NYC CLC Community Board Training

Thu, Aug 14, 2014 at 04:30 PM to at 08:00 PM

The NYC Central Labor Council and our affiliates are committed to engaging union members across sectors and industries on the importance of community involvement and the need to advocate for union jobs at our local Community Boards.

To help encourage members to apply to their Community Board and to provide current Board members with an understanding of key labor issues, the CLC is hosting a training. The training will include three sessions addressing the role Community Boards play in the 1) City Budget process 2) Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) process and 3) a discussion on important issues such as hospital closures, transit issues, and how we can keep NYC WalMart free.

The training will be held on Thursday, August 14th from 4:30PM to 8:00PM at UAW Region 9A, located at 256 West 38th Street -12th Floor, New York, NY  10018.   Dinner will be provided.

We ask that members RSVP via this Google form. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Maryann Rosa at Mrosa@nycclc.org
